Well, Spencer did it. After kiting for a few days, he finally got his first flight in at Caldera launch. Said he feels like he's 20 again. Here is some video of his launch and then as he flies into the beautiful sunset on the Costa Rica beach.

ReplyDeleteIt is a good thing Natalie works for the airlines, otherwise I don't think she would be buying that "he had to stay for another day because the plane was full".
How true, Events man. The down and dirty truth is the heavy rainfall in the Northeast US caused so many cancellations over the preceding weekend that there were hundreds of delayed passengers still trying to get to NY, NJ, CT etc. from all over the US. Natalie actually suggested the extra day and the 3 additional flights I got in on Monday were spectacular. But nothing will beat the excruciating joy of that first solo!!
